Site Inspections (Free)

Baxter Homes, Inc understands that one of the most important parts of your project is planning. When planning for your manufactured home purchase, site preparation is a vital part of ensuring a smooth process. This is why we provide FREE site inspections. Here are a few of the most important factors we take into consideration during our site inspections: Accessibility, Utility Location / Placement and Permits.

Accessibility – Is there access to your property?

During your property inspection, we will first determine if we need special equipment in order to deliver your new home. For example, there may be fences, trees, hills, buildings and/or tight turns to take into consideration. We will determine exactly what preparation and/or special equipment is needed to place your home on its pad.

Utilities - Location and/or placement

We will determine which utilities your property currently has and what is needed. This includes public and/or private utilities such as drilling a well, installing a septic tank, bringing in power and natural gas / propane. In some cases, public utilities will be available for connection at the street.

Permits – Home installation

Is your property within the local city or county jurisdiction? Is your property zoned for placement of a manufactured home? What size home can you place on the property? Do you meet the required set backs? Is a permanent foundation required? How do you apply for the installation permit? Overwhelmed yet?
